Tonight I was hanging out with my friend Nicolas from France in the hot tub at the hostel just relaxing and discussing general topics of discussion. We were briefly joined by three German girls two of which were actually younger than me which was pretty awesome simply because everyone I've met on this trip so far has been a minimum of two years older than me.
The entertaining part of the night came Nicolas and I decided to return to our room for the night. It suddenly occurred to both of us that neither of us had our key to the room and no one was in our room. We were locked out. I had no clothes outside with me or a towel for that matter so I had to go to the bar which was packed because it was a little after 10PM and they were having an ocean themed party (which made me look marginally less ridiculous). So I went to the bar and the bouncer stopped me asking where I was going and I explained my situation and he just shook his head and let me go through. Luckily I was able to find two of my room mates in the TV lounge and borrowed their key. I then had to make the walk of shame again through the bar garnering looks and whispers along the way. Luckily we got ourselves back into the room and I did the walk once more to return the key and then called it a night. Good times.
