We headed off to Invercargill today stopping to view Sea Lions (we even got to see two of them fight) and a light house along the way. We stopped at a small cafe/bar part way and I was able to avoid the temptation of spending money on food. We got into Invercargill quite late and spent an hour grocery shopping for the supplies required to have burgers and potato wedges for dinner. When we were checking out I encountered the most thorough credit card verification I have ever seen in my life. I had to show my drivers license and passport and they were still hesitant to take it because my signatures are different.
After dinner we spent several hours talking with this elderly Scottish lady who was quite entertaining. She had been to Victoria.
It ended up being a late night and we were all severely bloated following dinner. Tomorrow we are off to Te Anau for St.Patrick's day.
