I went to the clinic today and actually got to see Dr.Simpson again. This was convenient because he already knew the score I didn't have to try and articulate what was actually wrong with me. He checked my left ear and it was fine. Sadly my right ear had not progressed at all. My right ear canal is still almost entirely sealed off due to inflammation.
He concluded that my ear canal was too sealed off for the drops to be effective so he inserted a small sponge into my ear canal which is designed to absorb the drops and expand my ear canal while also allowing the drops to get in and be effective at solving the problem.
Unfortunately now I have a sponge in my ear (it's not as conspicuous as it sounds) and officially have ZERO hearing out of my right ear on account of inorganic matter completely obstructing sound from entering my ear for processing. This is frustrating because it makes it really hard to hear people now especially if they are more towards my right than my left. In two days I also have to seek a doctor again to have the sponge removed from my ear and to check if my condition is improving. Something to look forward too.
