This continues to blow my mind. I am 16 for christ sake I shouldn't even have an eBay account but I do. I also happen to have way more professionalism and just overall competence in what it is I am doing weather it be buying or selling than the person on the other end. Now don't get me wrong here. I have had *some* positive transactions, keyword being some. My most recent good transaction was I bought my video card online which was a big risk. I spent $300 dollars on a new card and put faith into someone else to not screw me over with $300. The didn't disappoint though. They met and exceeded my expectations by getting the package to me in less than 48 hours which made me very happy. However my two most recent transactions have not gone so smoothly. I have purchased two things a mike Jones shirt (for my good buddy Jon "Big Boss of the North" Shah) and Morrowind Game of the Year Edition. I'll start with the Mike Jones shirt.
Mike Jones Shirt Story: Ok so I paid for the shirt on the 6th of April (this is after trying to pay earlier but the telling me to send the money through paypal instead of through eBay because I tried paying through eBay's paypal thing but it didn't work.)and waited the two weeks for the e-check to clear. So the e-check finally cleared and I got a e-mail from paypal saying the e-check cleared however his account could not receive payment so the money was just credited to my paypal account. So now I have e-mailed him again asking what to do next and it has been four days now and still no response. I'm looking to cancel the transaction because clearly this individual doesn't no what they're doing. And now responding to my e-mails is a big no no. When I sell things on eBay contact is the most important thing. We e-mail the seller at every step of the transaction we leave feedback promptly upon receiving payment we e-mail after the transaction to ensure they are satisfied with their purchase.
Morrowind Game of the Year Edition: I paid via e-check promptly for this item and not even a week into the e-check being sent this user e-mails me threatening to file a non-paying bidder complaint because he hasn't received his money yet. Now he only has 10 feedback so he probably isn't super experienced with eBay, however I only have 11 feedback so one could conclude I don't have much experience either. However I do know e-checks usually take a minimum of 14. I e-mailed him back saying e-checks take and he would have to wait. That seemed to pacify him. Now the e-check cleared on the 18th I got my receipt from paypal saying all went well I checked my bank account the money was gone so I figured all was well and left it be. Three days later I e-mailed checking on the status of my package and when he thought it would get here. The individual e-mailed me back stating that he did not have his money yet and wouldn't be sending until he did. He told me to check the e-mail I Sent it to in case I paid the wrong person. I checked my receipt and everything looked in order. So I sent him an e-mail including the receipt and still have not heard anything back.
Maybe I am over reacting but I feel like I get stuck dealing with all of eBay's most incompetent users regardless how careful I am. More or less I just needed to rant. Hopefully this nonsense gets wrapped up by the weeks end.
